1st Thing's First!!

Whitney is having a giveaway over on her blog. I get to enter a 2nd time for posting here, but I really don't feel like sharing this particular giveaway because, the less people know about it, the better chance I have to winning!! It's a great casserole dish. It's yellow. I love yellow. I have a pretty yellow pitcher. It would go well with the casserole dish. Really it would. So, if you want to lessen my chances of winning, go ahead, go to her Blog and enter. I won't mind. Much.

Okay, I am NOT functioning at "Full Speed" this morning. I was a good friend and neighbor last night. "G" called me to come down. Quick. I did. Her son had cut his foot on glass in the house. Long story. Stupid story. Won't go into it. He was sitting on the counter with his foot over the sink. My "Nursing Skills" {okay, Mom in overdrive} kicked in and I assessed the situation. "Ooh, he's gonna need stitches!" We cleaned it up. Laid him on the floor and raised his foot high in the air to stop, okay, slow down the bleeding. Not a pretty sight. I told "G" I'd be right back. I ran back home, put on jeans, grabbed my purse and house key and ran back down the street. I drove her car to the E.R. Luckily, they saw us pretty quickly. It was after we had been in the room for hours that the doctor came in. Let me tell ya, I was pretty delirious by this time. I'd been awake since @ 6 a.m. that morning! I was doing everything in my power to entertain this 6 year old! I grabbed some rubber gloves {they weren't great gloves} and blew them up. I could only tie one up. It was our "Turkey" of the night. I then found some tongue depressers and I took some paper toweling and made little "spit balls." I was "flicking" them everywhere! Too much fun. I was waiting for the men with the "white coat." You know, the one that has ties in the back?! Yeah. Let's just say I needed a little "break." It took a while to get him stitched up. Had to put a "Local" on the area. Not really a good spot, for he kept "curling" in his toes. There was 2 nurses, me and mom holding him as still as we could. After he was stitched and we were waiting on the "Discharge Papers", I found a child's wheelchair. Let's just say, by this time it was 1 a.m. and I was in "RARE" form! I finally got home about 1:30 a.m., sleeping by 2, awake at 6:30! Showered, dressed and ready for my first "chiken" to arrive at 7:10 a.m.! I need some coffee and some breakfast! Here are a few pictures from last night. I apologize if they are not too clear, for they were taken with "G's" Blackberry. Hmmm, don't know why I didn't bring my camera? We did most definitely talk about scrapping this! I got her hooked on scrapbooking. She just hasn't had too much time lately. Anyway. Enjoy the show! Pictures are in "Reverse Order!" Blog ya later....
