Happy to be Alive!!

I have just GOT to start my post this morning with this video! I credit Erin Lincoln for it. It came from her blog and I just FELL IN LOVE with it!



He would be so much cuter if he would just get rid of his dreads!!! Ay-yi-yi! What'd ya think? Pretty catchy, huh? He just didn't have the "oomph" to go all the way on Idol, but I still liked him!

Back to regular schedule for work now. yuck. Trying to get used to getting up at 2:30 in the morning. Today is my "Sunday" and I have a dental appointment in a little bit. Need to also arrange an appointment for my son as well.

I need to start preparing for Thanksgiving! Gumbo, Turkey, sides, Honey Pan Rolls, desserts. Man, good thing I am still doing Boot Camp! A new soreness today. I guess that is good. Keep changing it up so as to not get in a rut. 2 more weeks left. Still trying to whittle away and find my waist. I KNOW there is one under here! LOL

On the downside to the weekend for you 9 to 5'rs out there! Lucky dogs. I actually am going to the Saints game on Sunday afternoon and taking Monday off! Woo Hoo. 7 and 0 baby!!! Carolina Panthers on Sunday. I feel confident. Let's hope the players do too, but not too confident that they get cocky! KWIM?

"Post" Halloween!

Well guys, it's over. Halloween. Yep. You know what this means, huh? The Christmas Season is upon us!
That's right. The countdown has begun. In fact: 1 month, 3 weeks and 2 days. Have YOU started yet? Lie to me. Tell me "No" please!! hee hee

It was a fun night. Lots of friends and food and drink! My official last weekend off for a while. Go back to my regularly scheduled programming Monday. I will be in bed by 8-8:30 p.m. Cause you know, 2:30 a.m. comes fast and furious. Monday shouldn't be too bad, but TUESDAY! Ay-yi-yi! "VooDoo Fest" ends today, but the Saint's play Monday night, so, everyone will be leaving then. I just hope the weather holds up and there aren't any delays! Tuesday is my "Friday" so, it'll be okay.
Well, I need to go and get a bath and clean up the kitchen. Might watch "Desperate Housewives" in the bed before falling asleep! We'll see. Everyone have a GREAT week! God Bless.

Just a "Bone" for you! ;-)

Good Sunday afternoon! What a whirlwind of a week I have had. I had Class Training last week for work and let me just say, 7:30 to 4 were the "class" times and if we were in class a total of 2 hours per day, that was a LOT! Now, grant it, when it came time to take the test on Friday, we knew what we NEEDED to know and I passed! Tomorrow starts another week. hip. hip. hooray. I'll let ya know just how THAT goes.... *insert eye roll*

Another thing that I have not been able to get caught up with is my "P365." Geesh, just when I thought I finally had it pretty much caught up, 2 more months slip by!!! Maybe by the first of NEXT year I'll finally get it all done. LOL Here are a few from June:








Sorry, they aren't in chronological order. Dumb Blogger! Oh well. Doesn't matter anyway, because I've stopped somewhere at the beginning of July! Have the rest of July, all of August, September and the rate I'm going, October also!!!! I am determined though. I will NOT abandon this. It just may take me until after the first quarter of next year, that's all! LOL

Okay, need to get back to my Christmas Tags for a swap I am doing. Tired of procrastinating. Deadline will be here before I know it. Have a good week and I'll get back to you again soon.

Sad, Sad Loss

Well, my daughter was thoroughly disgusted by her classmates for leaving in the 3rd quarter! It was a crushing blow. We lost. 48 to 10. First time in 4 years. Oh well. On the up side, if there is any, we creamed the team in my volleyball game! Talk about 3 intense matches! They got pretty close, but no win for them. darn. LOL I just love a friendly competition!
On my way home I stopped at Wendy's for a grilled chicken sandwich. I hadn't eaten and I worked up a hunger! Ate that while I watched a little of the high school game on the telly. Then I went to bathe and climbed in the bed to wind down and hopefully get at least 4 solid hours of sleep. I woke at 2:30 a.m., showered, dressed, left the house. Driving down the road and get to the main road. Decide to find my cell {to make sure I didn't leave it home} and I notice some "Missed Calls" and a text message AND a voice mail. I check before pulling onto the highway and guess what? I was told to take today off because I start "Class" on Monday! Are you FREAKING kidding me? Apparently the call came about 9:15 the night before and of course I don't bring my cell phone in my room because there are some people who STILL haven't gotten the memo that I get up as early as I do. If my phone does ring, usually my hubby will get it, but seeing that he was working the football game, NO ONE WAS HOME! So, I turn around, get in the house, change BACK into my jammies, grab my pillow and head to the sofa. My hubby was snoring WAY TOO LOUDLY for me to fall back asleep in there!
I watched "Ghost Whisperer" and fell asleep. He came in the living room a little after 8 freaked out because he thought I overslept! I told him what happened. What really ticks me off is, on Friday I asked about leaving early Saturday morning to attend "Boot Camp." In the office was my supervisor and the person who teaches the class! WHY didn't she say something then? Did she NOT know? Had I known, I wouldn't have busted my butt to get home from my game and settle down to get some sleep! Anyhow, MY Supervisor who informed me, thought we were already informed. So on Saturday, hubby and I had lunch and went to the movies! After I got out of the movies, my supervisor texted me to "take Sunday off" as well! SCHWEEEEEEET! No more 2:30 a.m. wake-up calls for an entire week! Class starts at 7:30 and goes until 4. Yay! I should get next Saturday and/or Sunday off which is good because Saturday is our 17th year wedding anniversary. We'll see if hubby remembers and plans anything.
The weather here has been absolutely GORGEOUS!! Real "Fall-like." Had a cool front come thru on Friday morning. Not sure how long it is going to last, but I will keep my windows open for as long as I can!!
Our "Saints" had a FANTABULOUS game! GREAT win! I'll be attending the game when they play the Carolina Panthers in a couple of weeks. My sister invited me for her hubby will be out of town. Oh darn. LOL

Tonight's THE Night!!

Tonight is the game of the year. Two teams: Our local high school and the one across the river. A rival that has been going on since the schools inception! We've beat them 2 years in a row. Will it be for a 3rd? Not sure. But I guarantee it'll be a good one! Sadly, I won't be attending. I have a Volleyball game match of my own. The team we are playing is a team with members who left me to build their own team! Go figure. It's all good. It will be a "friendly" match. It WILL be a Competitive Match!! May the better team win. {us ;-) }
